In 2003, the Fine Arts Forum in Lebanon printed a book featuring artwork commissioned by 50 artists around the Arab world to commemorate the Khiam detention facility used by Israel until 2000 in the south of Lebanon. The painting depicts an arm reaching out from the darkness towards a woman identified by the title as a mother.
